Jodi's Dad

So, we've had a rough couple of weeks. Last Wednesday (the ides of March, incedently), Jodi's dad had a heart attack and a stroke. We went over to Melbourne immediately upon hearing of the incident to find the situation much better than it could have been.

At first he wasn't able to move his left side, had trouble speaking, and was generally out of it. But over the next couple of days, his improvement was nothing short of amazing. By Thursday afternoon he was talking pretty well, and by Saturday he was grabbing things with his left hand. By the time we left on Sunday, he was ready to get up and walk.

And now he's out of the hospital, and in a rehab center. He's still improving under theropy, but Jodi is having a hard time not being there to help. Still, I can't help thanking the gods, our lucky stars, and anything else that can be thanked that he made it through it all, and is going to be just fine : )

Beach Day

Went to the beach today! We drove out to Country Side Mall to go to Jodi's favorite store, Torrid. Then we took the scenic route via Clearwater Beach to Redington Shores, and my parents' time share resort, Grand Shores West. It was mild, breezy, sunny, and an all around beautiful day.

It's days like today that remind us why we live in Florida! ...and why we have a convertible!
